Mission Site: San Martin & Chimaltenango Regions, Guatemala
Mission Dates: 3/7/09 - 3/21/09

Mission Objective: To provide primary health care and patient education. This Medical Mission is offered through the cooperation of MSUCOM, Botsford General Hospital, Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center, and the POH Regional Medical Center.

All Professional Volunteers will be considered on an "as needed basis"

All Volunteers will be considered on an "as needed basis", including those with no medical background. Spanish speakers will be given preference
OMS years 3 & 4 must submit a brief statement including their longterm career goals, primary reason for interest in participating with this medical mission, and level of fluency in Spanish. |

HOUSING
HOST COUNTRY INFORMATION
Will the host country be providing government support?: Yes
If yes, what type?: We anticipate permission from the Guatemalan Government for this mission, escort services by the Antigua Police and we will be working with local physicians in each of the mission sites.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This Mission will be limited to 60 participants per week. Preference will be given to participants from the sponsoring institutions, skills/specialty, and fluency in Spanish.
