MISSION DESCRIPTION

Mission Site: Port au Prince Hospital de Notre Dame and three outlying villages: Sarthe, Cabaret, and Lilavois. Haiti.

Mission Objective: Treat the poorest of Haitians in both a clinical and rural setting. Greatest need is pediatrician, family docs/aprn, or Internal Medicine, along with Infectious Diseases

It is hoped everyone would arrive at approximately the same time in Port au Prince on Sunday, May 1. There will be a sign reading Outreach to Haiti. Everyone should have their checked bags and carry-ons identified with orange ribbons. Bring a carry-on bag for your personal items and, also, two suitcases that you can leave in Haiti so that you can bring medical supplies. Each person is allowed two free bags up to fifty pounds each.

Transportation will be provided to and from the safe house: #7 Rue Lorimer, Rte de Freres, Petionville, PAP. After dinner on Sunday, there will be an orientation for the upcoming week, along with familiarizing yourself with Haitian culture. There will then be four clinic days as presently set, The following Saturday will be the travel day back.
