Panajachel & El Quiche, GUATEMALA

MISSION DESCRIPTION

Mission Site: Panajachel & El Quiche, Guatemala

Mission Dates: 3/19/12 - 3/30/12

Deadline for Receipt of Volunteer Applications: 2/1/12

Mission Objective: Our mission is to serve the underserved, to offer a holistic approach to medicine and to be healers. While we have many opportunities to do so in the States, international medical work is a unique opportunity for personal and professional growth and reflection. Last year, several of our members were fortunate to join a group from Midwestern University in Arizona. This year, we are planning our own trip and are planting the seeds for a long-term commitment to the people we meet. We will be traveling with doctors, dentists, volunteers, and students to provide basic healthcare to the underserved in the areas of Panajachel & El Quiche. We look forward to establishing relationships with and learning from the people we meet.
