ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This is an MSUCOM Medical Service Elective with a focus on patient care and teaching OMS II students. We work in cooperation with a local hospital, physicians, and Peruvian medical students. Volunteer physicians must arrive in Lima no later than August 5th. The following morning, August 6th, the group will be transported by bus to Mala, a coastal town about 1 hour south of Lima, where we will operate a medical clinics for 4 days. The morning of August 10th the group will return to the Lima airport and fly into the Amazon Region of Peru, where we will be staying in the CEIBA TOPS LODGE near Iquitos. From the Lodge will be transported daily by boat to Nuevo Uchiza (35 minutes) for clinic. On August 14th we will return to Lima and you may return to the US or elect to participate in an optional excursion (e.g. Cusco/Inca Trail/Machu Picchu). We require each participant to make a $200 tax deductible donation which is used for purchase of medication/supplies and the two (Mala and Amazon) ground packages, including airfare to Iquitos, is estimated to cost $1,400 per person.

AOA CME will be offered.
